Westgate sits in the heart of Weardale. You can walk to the riverside, a traditional pub with restaurant and the village church. The surrounding moorland and fellside offer excellent walking and cycling routes. Weardale Adventure Centre is just 2 miles away offering canoeing, rock climbing, archery and high ropes.

The cottage sleeps 4 across two bedrooms. Bedroom 1 is a ground-floor kingsize with direct patio access. Bedroom 2 is first floor with twin beds, en-suite shower, vaulted ceiling and Velux windows. There are two bathrooms including a stylish ground-floor room with a p-shaped bath and rainfall shower. A wood-burning stove and 42" Smart TV complete the living space.

Killhope Lead Mining Museum is 5 miles away. Stanhope town with its 18th-century castle and private hot tub on the rear sunny patio makes evenings here genuinely special. Derwent Reservoir is within 30 minutes for sailing and fishing.
