Brancepeth Reviews

Deborah
It was ok. We had a nice time but the hot tub and outdoor space wasn't as private as we had hoped and dogs were able to wander to our back doors to relieve themselves. We had an issue with the main TV but we had no response from the owner on two occasions of attempting to resolve this. They were on holiday but we had previously had good contact which made it sad to be ghosted! This wasn't great having 2 small children and having to use the small upstairs TV. Heads up... the Internet isn't slow... we did a speed check and it simply does not work. The accommodation was cleanish, lots of cobwebs and dust high up and sticky surfaces. Such a shame as lovely views and good on paper but for sure overpriced and still no contact of concern from the owner.
Couldn't have asked for a better weekend away the cottage offered everything and more nice and clean. Great host always happy to help and always at the other end of the phone if needed. I'll will definitely be recommending to friends and family.
Lovely cottage. Comfy beds Well equipped. Clean. The WiFi was not great. The electrics were a little dodgy. One bulb in lounge stayed on even when lights switched off. Toilet light didnt work until the last day then suddenly came on. Sockets in bedroom sometimes didnt work. Would be much more enjoyable if there was a safe place for the dogs to be let out. Possibly the availability of a stair gate too as we had a toddler.
Lovely cottage for us and grandchildren to visit Beamish Museum and enjoy the lovely countryside. Wolsingham is a lovely small town, very friendly with a great cafe and bakery. The kids loved the on site hot tub and swimming pool and used them every day at least once! As grandparents we absolutely loved watching the stars appear whilst enjoying the hot tub in the evenings! A lovely comfortable cottage, would definitely stay again. Our hosts were easily available if needed.
Rebecca
Fantastic cottage in a fantastic location, the children loved the swimming pool. The only thing that would make it even better would be an enclosed garden for the dogs, but you cant have everything. Brilliant stay and wed definitely return.
Had a lovely family birthday weekend here. The cottage is big enough for 6 adults and 2 dogs!. The hot tub was amazing! Only niggle we could find was that there is no Dustpan and brushvacuum cleaner to clean up the crumbs on the tiled flooring. Just a small thing but would have made a big difference to us with having 2 dogs. Otherwise lovely place, would recommend.
Fantastic place, second time we have been and wont be the last, only criticising comment is not aimed at the owners or place itself its aimed at the idiots who have dogs and think everyone else should like them. As a dog lover myself remember that not everyone loves your dogs as much as you do and they are not everyones pets!!!! Dont leave your dogs unattended while you go out for the full day and let your dogs go mental, have some respect for other people.
We really enjoyed our stay here, such a lovely location. There are a few cottages together, the back area where you sit has a lovely hot tub and view. There is a dividing wall between the cottages but you do occasionally see the neighbours but still felt private enough. We were lucky to have beautiful weather so didnt use the pool as much as we thought. The pool and the outdoor hot tub makes it perfect for any weather.
Brilliant place comfortable and cosy will be back
